When my emotions overwhelm me, and I can’t keep them inside,

I gotta let them pour out … and so I go back home to hide  …  …  …   And I …

Cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  Yes, I cry, cry, cry myself to sleep.  Sometimes I gotta cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  Because a good old cry is just the thing I need.

Last night my guy got ugly, and he said things that were cruel.  He was being rude, and I said some pretty awful things too. No, it wasn’t the first time that we’d fought.   But what he said last night hurt me a lot.   And it made me wanna cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  Made me wanna cry … to ease my anger and pain. I just had to cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  With a good old cry, I feel much better again.

Somethings he said were true but they were a bitter pill to swallow.  And I really hate hearing his condescending tone.  I might forgive and forget — and get over it all tomorrow.  But tonight I need – time to heal – and I need to do it all alone.  So I need to cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  Yes, I gotta cry … to ease my anger and pain.  I just have to cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  With a good old cry, I feel much better again.

We’re both passionate people and we care a lot about each other.  And I guess that’s why it hurts whenever we fight.  He tries to lecture me, but I never let him get the best of me.  I always give as good as I get, and then I leave… to be all by myself.  Just so I can cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.  Yes, I gotta cry …  to ease my anger and pain.  I just have to cry, cry, cry, cry my heart out.   With a good old cry, I feel much better again.

Sometimes you gotta cry, cry, cry, cry your heart out.  Yes, you gotta cry … to ease your anger and pain.  Sometimes you gotta cry, cry, cry, cry your heart out.  With a good old cry, you’ll feel much better again.
