Every day she gets out of her bed; then Ella chooses clothes

Goes to her closet and … scratches her head; that’s Ella choosing clothes

Finally Ella finds a shirt that she likes; that’s Ella choosing clothes

Tries it on, but it doesn’t feel right; that’s Ella choosing clothes

So she goes to her sister’s room – just to see if she’s awake.  Then she goes back to her room again – checks out her closet-full of pants – checks out her drawer-full of socks – then she crawls back into bed, hugging her blanket, thinking about Disneyland.

Then she hears her mommy yell:  “Come on Ella choose your clothes.  And don’t forget to put on clean underpants.  Get out of bed and choose some clothes.”

So Ella looks inside her closet again – can’t find her favorite clothes.

Then she tries on every shirt and pants; that’s Ella choosing clothes.

Doesn’t matter if it’s time to get to school; doesn’t matter if she’s late.

She can’t seem to find the clothes that she likes; only sees the clothes she hates.

Sometimes just to please her Mommy & Dad, and as long as they don’t  know –

She’ll just give up and put on anything; that’s how Ella chooses clothes.

That’s Ella choosing clothes.   That’s how Ella chooses clothes.
