Two Parts Country and One Part Jazz

He was born in Chicago. He grew up on Rock and Roll. And he listened to Rhythm and Blues. And some Motown Soul. In the turbulent Sixties, everybody sang folk songs. With a little bit of jug band music, and some blues from “down home.”

Now he’s two parts Country and one part Jazz. His head stays cool though his heart beats fast. Like a mustang running through a mountain pass, he’s two parts Country and one part Jazz. Two Parts Country… and One Part Jazz.

Then he moved to California where he dug the hippie sounds. He was living up in Oakland where the East Bay Funk was found. And that led him back to Bird and ‘Trane, Miles and Getz and all that cool, cool Jazz. Then Garcia and the Grateful Dead … got him swinging into Bluegrass.

Now he’s two parts Country and one part Jazz. A middle class life but a high class act. Like a river running down a steep crevasse, he’s two parts Country and one part Jazz. Two Parts Country and One Part Jazz.

Now he’s living out in Idaho … near those wild mountain streams. He’s got Country on the radio. He’s got Jazz on CD’s. Country Music makes him happy; gives his life some stability. But when he’s feeling kind of crazy and wild, … then it’s Jazz that sets him free.

Now he’s two parts Country and one part Jazz; found himself a mixture that will last, last, last. Like a hot rod runnin’ high-octane gas, he’s two parts Country and one part Jazz.

Two parts Country and one part Jazz. A middle class life but a high class act. His head keeps cool and his heart beats fast. He’s two parts Country and one part Jazz. Two Parts Country and One Part Jazz. Two Parts Country and One Part Jazz.
