What are the Poor People Doing Tonight

I got the sun shining on my back deck. I got the cool lake when I want to get wet. I got my soft sneakers and my comfortable jeans. I got the “Life of Reilly” — if you know what I mean.

And you can see — I got what I need in my life. Makes me wonder — what are the poor people doing tonight?

I got a lovin’ wife – I got deep respect. I got my sons and daughters – I got plenty of help. I got more lovin’ than one man deserves. I got the happiest home in the whole wide world.

Got my chicken boolya on an open fire. Got my grandchildren, and they’re running wild. Got my party going. All my friends are here. Got my green onions and my glass of beer.
