Daylight Dawns      © 2003 by Myron Schreck

Daylight Dawns and the silence of the night is replaced by the song of the morning larks.  Every bright drop of silvery dew, promise of a world renewed, glistens in the dawning of the sun.

Skies so clear, not a cloud on the horizon.  The elk and deer drinking safely at the lake.  While the geese flying o’er and the ducks on the shore are basking in the brightness of the sun.

All the sounds that abound in the forest and all the rains that wash away to the sea.  And every guileless smile of every new born child only shows what the world’s meant to be.

And when the sun begins to set with all the colors of the rainbow, the world is blessed with the light of hope.  Every woman, every man, every lion, every lamb – resting in the setting of the sun.

All the sounds that abound in the forest and all the rains washed away to the sea.  And every guileless smile of every new born child only shows what the world’s meant to be.

Nighttime comes and the rhythms of the day are replaced by a calm and a longing.   For the night brings sweet solitude, waiting for the day anew, waiting for the promise of the sun.
