There’s a place I go … out in Idaho … when I need to find some quiet and peace.  In the wilderness, there’s a restfulness in the shade of the Whitepine trees.  And though it’s out a ways and it takes two days just to hike from the end of the road, when you get up there – where the air is clear – there’s a view just a few get to know.

There’s a steep crevasse up a mountain pass, you can climb to a hidden lake where the marmots play, and the thrush and jay like to hide in the tall cattails.  And there’s a deep hot springs near a narrow stream just above a small bridal veil falls, and when you’re sitting there you forget your cares as you listen to the coyotes call.

And all your troubles just slip away.  Yes, all your troubles just slip away.

And as the day winds down I can watch the sun fill the sky with a golden light.  And when it’s cold and damp I just set up camp and get warm by a fireside.  And all the stars at night – shining big and bright – make me feel like I’m not all alone.  So I thank the Lord for a faith restored, and I sleep with the dream of hope.

And all my troubles just slip away.  Yes, all my troubles just slip away.
