I CALL YOU — based on Psalms 4, 27, 57, 62, 142 — © 2019 by Myron Schreck
Days when I wandered, aimless and alone … In the hills of Judea, far away from my home … I called you … never making a sound. I called you. … I called you.
When enemies entrap me, you set me free, nad you favor me with grace and you comfort my grief. I call you, without a sound, just a faith without bounds, ‘cause I know you’re there.
Oh teacher of righteousness, show me the way … to humility and honesty, sacrifice and faith. Help me to curb all my yearnings and just be content with what I have.
Darkness surrounds me. My path is unclear. Evil entices me; I tremble in fear. I call you, ‘cause deep in my soul, I know you’re there … to welcome my prayer.
Old age pursues me. I’m sick and I’m tired. I haven’t any strength left, but my body won’t die. I call you, ‘cause deep in my soul, I know you’re there.
