Désolé Blues — © 2014 Myron Schreck
| Last week I entered the gates of despair. Death came a knocking And took my poor “cher” – Death came a knocking And left me lost and confused. My eyes are all bloodshot … from nights filled with tears My body is aching I’m trembling in fear. What can I do? I got the Desolé[1] Blues My friends come by at night With plenty of food to share … Their sympathy’s all right Yes, they offer their prayers But what do I care? My windows and mirrors … are covered with sheets My bed remains empty. I can’t get to sleep Je suis perdu[2] I got the Désolé Blues. I can’t allow myself … one moment of pleasure When fate has taken away my irereplacable treasure Je suis mal pris[3] Avec les[4] Blues désolé I got the paresse[5] I got the malaise[6] Mon coeur fait mal[7] et mon coeur est cassé[8].
