Love Evermore

    Everything I have, I give it all to you.   Crazy days and cozy nights and afternoons. Who can say what the future will be?  Everything can be gone tomorrow.  But there’s one thing we’ll never lose, I promise you … my gift to you … is my love for evermore.   All my love for evermore.  Only love for evermore.  All my love for evermore

    Here I stand today, a simple man before you, knowing that you’ve given me so much.  What can I give to you?   I don’t have much of anything – but what I have to bring … is more precious than a wedding ring.  All I have is my love for evermore.   Only love for evermore.  Just my love for evermore.  All my love for evermore.

Note: I have written a couple of “wedding songs.” This one was inspired and written for one of my nephews & his bride. Their wedding announcement contained a beautiful photograph of her engagement ring. That photograph inspired the lyrics to this song — sort of backwards. Among the first few lines that came to me were: “what I have to bring is more precious than a wedding ring.”
