I intend to use these compositions as part of a dramatic musical theater production about the life of King David — from his youth to his old age — including the stories of his heroism, his faith, his loyalty, and his sins. The songs also explore a variety of themes addressed in the Psalms, many of which have been attributed to David’s authorship. All of the Hebrew lyrics are directly from the Psalms, although I reordered some phrases. The English lyrics are from translations of the Psalms, although I used poetic license to change many phrases and at times provide my own translations. All the music is my original composition.

About Me
I attended preschool in the basement of a Chicago synagogue, grammar school at Torah Center, and high school at the Chicago Jewish Academy. I have a B.S. from Northwestern Univ., a Masters from San Francisco State University, and a J.D. from Univ. of Illinois College of Law. I practiced law in Oregon and then taught law in Idaho.
I was not classically trained in music. I took piano as a child. I fell in love with the harmonica as a teenager. Then I spent decades playing the guitar. Now, I mostly play & compose on the piano.
