Myrrh ~ Songs by Myron Schreck

Navigate

I am still learning the intricacies of WordPress site navigation. But here are some basic tools.

1 The SEARCH TOOL is in two locations: at the right side edge of the Top Menu; and in the “Sidebar” (which will be at the bottom of the page if you are using a phone or tablet). You can use it to search words that are in my pages and my posts (songs), including song titles, lyrics, etc. You cannot use it to search “tags” which I use for song “genres and styles.” However, some song genres and styles appear as words on pages and posts and will show up if you use the search tool.

2 TAGSI use tags for song “genres and styles.” You will find that my “tag cloud” is the first item in my “Sidebar” (which will be at the bottom of the page if you are using a phone or tablet). It contains the terms that I use to describe my songs. This is the best tool to use if you want to focus on a particular style, like “blues,” or “musical theater.” The “cloud” format means that the size of the word represents how often that genre or style is used.

3 COLLECTIONS and PLAYLISTS – are like albums – with similar songs or a connecting theme. Two lists are in the Sidebar: “Collections/Playlists,” and “Playlist Information.”

4 THE TOP HEADER MENU at the top of the webpage has informational pages, like this Navigation page and my Welcome page. It also contains the Chanukah Song page.

5 The BOTTOM HEADER MENU below my webpage title contains SONG INFORMATION PAGES.

On a wide screen, they appear like bricks on a wall. On a tablet or a phone, but you will see a DROP DOWN ICON on the right. There are separate pages for two different instrumental collections, for two different musicals, for tracks between 1980 and 1997, for one video, for one slideshow, and finally, the “LIST of 100 OTHER SONGS,” which opens a page with an alphabetical listing of the songs (with links).
