Lyrics for the Song — still a work in progress © 2019 by Myron Schreck
Camera in my hand,
watching Dory and Diane.
Riding on the sand ...
in the practice ring.
Concentrating
on every move they make
Celebrating ...
all the time they take
Loving, ... Learning, ...
Laughing, ... Hurting
'Cause sometimes they ...
have to deal with the pain.
And if her ankle hurts too much,
Dory needs some rest & gentle rubs
Diane treats her like a child
While Dory stands there dignified
That’s why Dory shouts with glee
Hearing Diane’s car ...
coming up the street
Riding Dory feels just like dancing
Slow Dressage can be so entrancing
Life is grand ...
When Dory and Diane dance
The “Best Equestrian”
that’s how Dory sees Diane
Reining with soft hands
Diane’s shoulders come down
Letting Dory relax her back and hips
Round her top line and
stretch onto the bit
Merrily they ride along
Dory breathing deep
Diane humming a song
Tasty apple cores . . .
Diane saves each day . . .
to bring to Dory
As treats, if Dory lifts her feet
When Diane needs to clean them
And when it’s time to part
Dory rests her forehead
on Diane’s heart
There can be no grander “Amore”
Than the love 'tween Diane and Dory
Riding Dory feels just like dancing
Slow Dressage can be so entrancing
Life is grand ...
When Dory and Diane dance
